Packing heavy machinery in wooden crates requires engineering precision. The crate must support the full weight of the machinery, withstand handling forces during lifting and transport, protect against environmental hazards, and immobilize the machinery completely to prevent any movement. Assessment and Design
Every machinery crating project starts with a detailed assessment: exact dimensions and weight, center of gravity location, lifting points and handling requirements, fragile components requiring extra protection, transport mode (container, flat rack, truck), and destination requirements. Our engineers create custom CAD designs for each piece of equipment.
Base Construction
The base is the most critical component. For heavy machinery, we use structural-grade hardwood (sal or equivalent) with cross-section dimensions of 100x100mm to 200x200mm depending on load. Steel brackets reinforce all joints. The base distributes the machinery weight evenly across the full footprint and includes fork pockets or crane lifting provisions.

Side panels, end panels, and roof are installed using screws (not nails) for strength and disassembly ease at destination. All panels are marked with handling symbols, weight, dimensions, and lifting points. ISPM-15 marks are applied to all wooden components. Complete documentation and photos accompany every shipment.
