When cargo has to survive months of salt air and repeated dew-point cycles, the barrier layer is doing the real work. A three or four layer PET/ALU/PE triplex aluminium foil has effectively zero water vapour transmission — seal a machine inside it with the right desiccant load and the internal environment stops changing, regardless of what the container does.

VCI film carries the corrosion inhibitor in the resin itself, so the barrier and the protection are one layer with no oiling required. PET barrier film is biaxially oriented with gas-barrier and static-dissipative properties for pharmaceutical-grade packing.

Alongside those sit the workhorse wrapping materials: poly-coated kraft paper laminate with high tear resistance and neutral pH for industrial bundle wrapping, and natural jute hessian cloth for breathable wrapping, sandbags and sacks where a sealed barrier is exactly what you do not want.
